Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of RankFox, at rankfox.eu, app.rankfox.eu, its API and its MCP server. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use RankFox for a company, you confirm that you may agree on its behalf. RankFox is meant for businesses and professionals, not for consumers.

1. The service

RankFox checks websites for search engines and AI assistants, lists what to improve, shows the status of every page, sends pages to search engines, asks AI assistants questions you choose and suggests places where sharing your link may help. We keep improving RankFox and may change or remove features. When a change matters to you, we tell you in advance.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, for what happens in it and for the people you invite. Keep your login links, codes and personal MCP keys private, and tell us right away if you suspect misuse. You can delete a key at any time in your account.

3. Websites you add

  • Only add websites you own or that you may work on, for example for a client.
  • When you connect Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools or Yandex Webmaster, you confirm that you may give us that access. We use it only to read the status of your pages and to send your pages to those search engines.
  • RankFox visits the public pages of the websites you add, at a polite pace. You are responsible for making sure this is allowed.

4. Plans and payment

  • The plans and their limits are on our pricing page. Prices are in euro and without VAT. VAT is added where it applies, based on your billing details.
  • During early access, every feature is free. We tell you by email at least 30 days before paid plans start. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe. You receive an invoice by email. A plan renews each month until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel at any time in your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or when a fault on our side stopped us from delivering what you paid for.
  • We may change our prices. A change never applies to a month you already paid for, and we tell you at least 30 days in advance.
  • AI visibility asks paid AI services. Each project has a monthly AI budget that you can see and change in its settings. When it is used up, checks pause until the next month.

5. What RankFox can and cannot promise

Search engines and AI assistants decide for themselves what they show and recommend. RankFox helps you give them the best chance, but we cannot promise a ranking, a number of visitors, that a page gets indexed or that an AI assistant names you. Answers of AI assistants change over time and can contain mistakes. Report summaries and draft replies are written by AI: read them before you use them.

6. Link opportunities and draft replies

RankFox suggests threads and pages and writes draft replies. It never posts anything for you. When you post, you do so under your own name and you follow the rules of that website or community, such as Reddit's rules about self-promotion. Be honest that you are connected to the website you share.

7. What you may not do

  • Use RankFox for spam, to mislead people or search engines, or for anything illegal or harmful.
  • Scan websites that you have no right to work on, or use RankFox to overload any website.
  • Try to break, overload or get around the security or limits of RankFox, its API or its MCP server, or resell it without our written agreement.

If you break these rules, we may pause or close your account. We tell you why, unless the law stops us.

8. Your data and our role

You keep all rights to the data you put into RankFox and the results it creates for you. You allow us to process it only to provide the service. Where this data includes personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor. In that role we:

  • process the data only on your instructions, which are these terms and your use of the service;
  • make sure the people who work with the data keep it confidential;
  • protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures, as described in our privacy policy;
  • only use the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy, and tell you when that list changes;
  • help you answer requests from the people concerned, and tell you without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting your data;
  • delete or return the data when you ask or when your account ends, unless the law requires us to keep it.

9. Our rights

RankFox, its software, design, the fox and the brand belong to us. You get a non-exclusive right to use the service while you follow these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve RankFox.

10. Availability

We do our best to keep RankFox running, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. Services we depend on, such as search engines and AI providers, can change or limit what they offer. We may take RankFox offline for maintenance and try to do this at quiet moments.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit, lost business, lost rankings or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. You are responsible for claims from third parties that arise from the websites you add, the access you connect or what you post, and you protect us against them.

12. Ending

You can stop using RankFox and delete your account at any time. We may end or pause your access if you break these terms, or end the service as a whole with at least 60 days' notice, in which case we refund any payment for the time after it ends. When your account ends, we remove your data as described in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as liability and these rules about data, keep applying.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using RankFox before then. If you keep using it, the new terms apply.

14. Law and disputes

Belgian law applies to these terms. If we cannot solve a dispute together, the courts of Antwerp, Belgium, decide it. For questions about these terms, use the contact form.
